Where does Remy human hair come from?

Remy hair is hair that has been carefully processed to keep the cuticles intact. When the cuticles are intact, the hair is more resistant to lice and tangling, which is why it’s preferred by many hairstylists. If the hair is not processed properly, it will lose its cuticles. The quality of the hair is determined by the process of stripping the hair from its natural state to preserve the natural characteristics of the hair to avoid the growth of hair bridges, thereby reducing or eliminating frizz.

Remy hair is a special type of human hair that’s especially prized for its resistance to lice and tangling. For many people who treat their hair care products with fervour, using something called a hair treatment product is a yes. This term, hairdresser, has come to describe a hair treatment product that uses added chemicals to strengthen hair. Think hair products that have, for example, medicated or sulfate-based hair treatments. The hair products or hair treatments containing these chemicals will last through the positive feelings that are accompanying hair braiding and hairstyles that are done for decoration purposes. Because hairdressers are authorized and trained professionals who use scalp treatments to ensure a safe and healthy scalp, some people might view hairdressers as health professionals and trust them to give precise scalp treatments. Hair treatments containing natural oils and other ingredients are also commonly used.

What makes Remy hair so special?

Remy hair comes from the same donor as other hair, but it has been collected in such a way that it can be sold separately from the hair attached to the scalp. As a result, Remy hair is collected without damaging the donor’s scalp or removing the follicle. Typically, this type of hair comes from the shaft of the hair and doesn’t require a depilatory so that it can be sold straight to salon owners. As it doesn’t need to be treated in any way, it’s usually cheaper than straight extensions or other types of hair extensions. Hair that is produced this way will look more refined because it doesn’t have the same frizz or shine as hair that has had the treatment applied to it.

In the past, hair extensions look very similar to real human hair. They’re usually made from a substance that is mixed with glycol and fragrance. Their element is usually tin, magnesium, or aluminium. Some hair extensions come in different widths, but most are #5 or #8. You might be familiar with hair extensions that look like granny hair, but that’s because a form of graphic realistic hair has been added.

What is the difference between Remy and non-Remy hair?

The difference is in the cuticle. The cuticle is the outer layer of the hair strand and is what gives the hair its unique characteristics. Non-Remy hair is made with a single-direction cut and Remy hair is made with a double-direction cut. There is a myriad of non-Remy hair products on the market, but it’s the product itself that is most sought after. Henley says, “People also ask me how to pull the hair to keep it curl-free,” so it is the product, not the hair, that is sought after and desired.

Non-Remy Hair Extension (and Result) Product: Silicon Collagen Keratin Syringe Full of the liquid solution is pushed into the hair follicle, through a pore to provide a moist, concentrated environment for granulation of elastin, which, when released, forms connective tissue in the hair that forms long strands, severing the follicle ends would then form an excess of pizza-like extensions with smooth ends. Unlike the number one product for this type of hair in the market (i.e., Clairol Ultra Nourished Professional Pluck Hair), this solution leaves no residue indicating a residue-free cuticle.

Why is Remy hair so expensive?

Remy hair can cost two to three times more than non-Remy hair, depending on where you buy it. Remy hair is hair that has been collected from the head of a single person and then processed using a machine. The machine separates the hair into its natural curl pattern, making it more uniform and less frizzy than non-Remy hair. The consistency and density of human hair can also differ between individuals of the same race and gender.

In some cultures, such as in western cultures and Afro-diasporic cultures, like Ghana, Thailand, India, and Native American cultures, certain hair quality is valued highly, or among other terms beauty worthiness. On the other hand, in some cultures, such as Asian and South American cultures, people often only care for healthy and natural hair textures. So described curly hair can often be more expensive than a non-curly, human hair. Treated curly hair is therefore rich in nutrients (vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants), and is, therefore, more valuable than untreated non-curly hair. Darker-coloured hair tends to require more treatments to maintain its natural pink-or-red hue.
